Provost

The Role of Hillcrest Early Years Academy Provost

The role of a provost is to act as a ceremonial figurehead at our Graduation by handing out our prizes and encouraging our pupils to Aim High and Achieve. To share inspirational stories so our pupils have someone to look up to.

Acting as an ambassador for the Academy.

Exercising a pastoral interest from afar of the activities of the pupils, staff and Governors of the Academy

Our Academy is very lucky to have two Provosts. They are both highly regarded professionals in their own field. They support, challenge and enhance the work of our Academy both in the local area and wider afield.

Mr R Marshall: Has his own legal practice and is the airport manager at Gamston Airport near Retford. His legal work takes him all over the world including Africa and Asia. He was Chair of Governors for 3 years and helped the Academy convert from a school.  He will play a leading role in our conversion to a Multi Academy Trust and will serve as an executive director on the board.

Mr A Mehta: Is a former world champion boxer, a highly qualified lawyer and is a director of a national legal firm highly regarded in the educational world based in London.
