In May 2016, we had been shortlisted for the Pupil Premium awards run by the DFE. This is a very special government award given to schools who make a real difference to their pupils who often have additional needs. We were one of only two academies shortlisted so are very proud. The ceremony was held in London on 12th May 2016, in which we the school was a runner up in second place.

In 2015 we were shortlisted for Early Years Setting of the Year 2015 and Head teacher of the Year 2015.

The ceremony was held at the Grosvernor House Hotel in Mayfair, London and Mrs McDonald, Mr Lovelidge, Miss McDonald and Miss Thorpe represented the academy. Mrs McDonald and the Academy both received certificates of recognition for their work.

Mrs McDonald was also nominated for the National Pearson Teaching Awards and was awarded a certificate of recognition from these awards too.
